I bought the Voyager boat shoes in Vintage Brown from Craft & Glory, and I’m impressed.
The leather quality is better than I expected at this price. Of course, you can find higher-grade leather out there, but you’d easily be paying two to three times more. For what these cost, the leather feels solid and looks great.
The finishing is surprisingly good. Sometimes product photos oversell things, but in this case, the shoes look just as good in person. The construction also feels reassuringly sturdy.
Comfort was the biggest surprise for me. For a fairly rugged boat shoe, they’re much more comfortable than I anticipated right out of the box.
Sizing worked out perfectly in my case. I usually wear UK 9.5 in most of my leather shoes and boots, and I ordered the same here. These actually fit me better than some of my other 9.5s. These are snug in a good way, but still comfortable.
They’re Goodyear welted, which is nice to see at this price point. I’m not sure whether I’ll ever resole them, but it’s good to know that I could. Especially considering what I paid (after discount), these feel like a no-brainer. I’d be surprised if there are many boat shoes that offer this kind of value for the money.
The only downside was the customer service. It was pretty much non-existent during the process. That said, once the shoes arrived and I saw the quality, I was willing to overlook it. Not everyone might feel the same, though.
The team here seems to be extremely high headed and not bothered about Customers. There was a huge delay in delivery and there was no communication at all. When i asked for a refund they refused stating that I have been given a discount!! What kind of nonsense is this......
This is a long lasting, rough and tough boat shoe, however the color is coming off on the socks till date after 1year of wearing.
Initially, I must applaud your Instagram game. Truly world-class. The constant feeds, the aesthetics, the vibe—you got me hooked fair and square. Your social media team deserves a raise; your product team… well, we’ll get there.
Like a naïve optimist, I got excited and patiently waited an entire month for the shoes. That was my first mistake. As the saying goes, all that glitters is not gold—and congratulations, you proved that proverb right with surgical precision.
When the shoes finally arrived, I actually loved how they looked. Credit where it’s due. Sadly, that’s where the romance ended.
The real horror began when I wore them to office—5 straight hours on Day 1 and a bold 9 hours on Day 2 (because hope dies hard). These are, without exaggeration, the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. The sole is so hard it feels like walking on compressed gravel. Not metaphorically. Literally. And they weigh just as much. I am writing this review only after taking them off; otherwise, I physically wouldn’t have been able to focus.
But wait—there’s more.
Every time I remove the shoes, the insoles make a dramatic escape attempt. And as a bonus feature, the color from the sole and inner lining bleeds generously into my socks. Two pristine white pairs are now proudly sporting dark brown stains. Apparently, an expensive shoe is meant to destroy other expensive things. That’s… innovative.
I assume you haven’t received this feedback before—not because it’s unique, but because most people were probably too busy nursing their feet to type.
At this point, I’m genuinely conflicted: should I continue wearing these rocks on my feet, or throw them into a lake? At least then they’d create some ripples and serve a purpose.
Lastly, a moment of silence for the animals whose leather was sacrificed for this masterpiece. Such good material. Such poor execution.
—A once-impressed, now-barefoot customer
Very Very nice.
